Practice Post
It has been awhile since I posted on the blog. A lot has happened since the last post. Summer, Fall, Harvest, Winter, Pieces of Red version 4.11, and some other stuff. This Friday, we are opening our brand new tasting room in downtown Spokane. With that, I have hired a full time person to help. My new hire has informed me that I need to resume blogging, twitter, and set up a Facebook account. So, here is a new blog post. Welcome me back! Check back in 2010 for the next post. =)

My Little Friend or The Source of My Nervous Tick

I deal with snakes at work all the time, usually, people tell me to get over it. They say that everyone has to deal with snakes in the office. Well, yesterday my friend Ben Tobin was visiting my "office" when one of my work place snakes decided to cause me trouble. Lucky for me Ben is a photographer and took a photo of my "co-worker." I refused to be in the photo, any guesses as to why?
Plans for the Fourth?
What are you doing this coming Fourth of July? Hanging out with your drunk uncle Larry at the over crowded lake drinking warm beer? Eating potato salad that has been sitting in the sun for over four hours? Listen to everyone else's screaming kids while trying to relax? This coming Fourth, treat yourself and loved one to a truly relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Come up to Sun Mountain Lodge, just outside of Winthrop, for a special weekend of relaxation. Myself and Mike Scott from Lone Canary will be there serving wine at two different functions, all to add to your weekend away. Click here to book your stay or learn more about this great resort.

Did You Know?
Did you know that most of the blogs on the internet were started by ambitious people who later got bored and stopped posting after only a few months? Hard to believe that there are people out there who would start something and then let it go silent for,oh, let us say, a month or so. Shame, Shame.

Back from vacation
Just got back from a nice little five day vacation. Forgot my camera, but lucky for me, I found a video of some guy who went to the same exact places I just went too.

Almost...
Today was the first "Brown Bag Lunch with the Winemaker" and I almost had the most incredible beginning. When Terra and I showed up at the vineyard for set-up, guess who was waiting at the front gate? THE BIG HORNS! I mean, come on, how cool would I have looked if when the guest for the event showed up and I could have casually pointed over my shoulder and said "and over here are the vineyard big horns." But, as T and I set up, the rams casually grazed past and thirty minutes later when the first person showed up...nadda, zip, zilch, zero. For the next four hours, my head was on a swivel looking, but to no avail. As for the lunch, well, thank-you to those who came, I hope you had a great time, and for those who did not, the afternoon started with some wine and, well, you will have to come to the next to find out more.
